Together with CRDC, the AACS will offer scholarships for university students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate courses to attend the 6th bi-annual Australian Cotton Research Conference: ‘Innovation from the ground up’. The conference is an excellent opportunity for industry networking, learning from peers, hearing from leading experts in cotton research, encouraging early career scientists and opportunities to be involved in a cotton science project.
While all students meeting the eligibility criteria can apply, students studying cotton projects are especially encouraged to apply. This scholarship covers the costs of attending the full three days of the conference (up to $1000) for students from universities across Australia. The scholarships are open to candidates:
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate study
- Currently studying agriculture, agricultural science, or applied science
- Eligible to live, work, and study in Australia
- Able to attend the full conference (26–28 August 2025)
- Must have submitted an abstract for consideration as either a 5 or 15 minute speaking slot (not relevant for non-honours undergraduate students)
- Must not be part of a CRDC-funded student project: CRDC-funded students should apply for a CRDC travel bursary.
For more information and to apply for a student scholarship, please use the Scholarship application form (1MB word doc).
Applications close Friday 25 July. All applicants will be notified of the outcome by email by 1 August.
